Jake Gaither Community PASS (Pedestrian and Street Safety)

The City of Tallahassee is currently developing design plans for the Jake Gaither Community Pedestrian and Street Safety (PASS) Project. The project area is along several streets within and surrounding the Jake Gaither Neighborhood, including Ridge Road, North Ridge Road, Springsax Road, Bragg Drive, Creek Road, Bunche Avenue, and Tanner Drive.

The purpose of this project is to enhance multimodal safety and mobility in the project area through the construction of sidewalks, roadside safety improvements, improved signage, and crosswalk improvements. The project is funded through the Federal Highway Administration’s Safe Streets for All grant.

The first public meeting is planned at the date and time below to provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the project and provide initial feedback. The meeting will be conducted in an open-house format, and attendees may arrive at any time during the scheduled meeting hours. Project team members will be available to answer questions, discuss the project, and receive comments. Exhibits illustrating the project area and project concepts will be available for review.
